The North coast 500 is simply the best roads you will find without getting on a ferry to leave the U.K. Yes there are some truly great roads in wales, the dales and lake district but what they lack is space! the highlands have that in abundance. Driving for almost an hour at one point without seeing another car, the ability to stop as and when you want to take a break, capture a moment and well use the facilities of course!!
